It was announced as its final flight as Tester for Kantoor Testvliegen and it would continue as Trainer ... Not necessarily would continue as trainer, but rather could. In January. It is not really a rebuild, it's the powertrains from the old ones used in the new ones. These should be the D-60x series A bit more than just the powertrains, I believe. Of each old grey CH-47F, some 2,500 parts are re-used in a new CH-47F in the 60x series. D-601 to D-606 are the 'rebuilds' indeed.

Indeed it has. Even in sunny conditions, which somehow happens to be quite rare whenever a KLu F-35 is delivered.
