Re: 2023: all Dutch NH90s at De Kooy, making room for Cougar

At least until November 1, possibly until November 4.

Thank you for the heads-up Joost!

The 100 Sqn Hawks arrived spot-on, in landing order:
XX318/CG
XX246/CA
XX202/CS
CG and CS carry the 100 Squadron badge, while CA has the JFACTSU badge on the tail.

The bigger tanks are not new. The smaller ones contain 1,250 litres and are designed for supersonic use, the big ones (as carried by Rafale M 3) contain 2,000 litres.

Yes we were very lucky indeed, also with the weather. If it had departed 15 minutes earlier, we would not have had this beautiful light but clouds. Sometimes you have to be a little lucky. Worth the 1.5 hour drive!

J-642 flew almost daily from Volkel in August. It was also active several times in September. Apparently it still has a few flying hours left.

Nowadays, budgets allocated to Dutch Armed Forces projects are within a certain range, e.g. 25-100 million, 100-250 million, 250-1000 million and so on. That is how.

The fourth F-16 that banked away early was F-16BM FB-20 (photoproof).

There were also a further 14 civil aircraft present. I need to check my photos to see which ones they were.

Yes there will be a Frisian Flag in 2020.

Dates are not yet confirmed. Assuming that the organisers will stay away from flying on days like Good Friday, Easter Monday and King's Day, my guess would be March 23 to April 3.

Re: Log Laage Rostock 19th August

Thank you for this interesting log Ben!

I am afraid you mixed up TLG 31 (Nörvenich) and TLG 71 (Wittmundhafen): 30+82 is a TLG 71 aircraft, whereas the Eurofighters you state as belonging to TLG 71 in fact have TLG 31 markings.
