In the end it's the US DoD that decides where our F-16s will go to. I think they have decided they are of much more use in Eastern Europe then as possible adversaries in the States.

This morning (24aug22) 14 F-16s have moved over to Lakenheath as the Aviano runway will close for 5 weeks for renovations.
