Northern end (mind you, rwy designation appears to have changed to 01-19) is far from ideal. Lots of trees and nowhere to park along the road. Also, choppers mostly turn to finals early, missing the road anyway.

I understand Deelen is used as FARP, is it possible to take good pictures there while the choppers are being refuelled, for example from the Veteranenbos? Or is that too far away or is the view blocked or so? The previous days, helicopters were parked at the southern taxitrack leading to runway 02....
