This afternoon J-871 and J-061 departed from Leeuwarden to Poland for the NATO mission to secure the Baltic airspace. They will stay there for some months.

Also 2 waves of FWIT-F16s (dep 10h and 14h), many of them carrying heavy practice bombs.

According to NOS this afternoon a total of 5 F16s will depart from Leeuwarden and Volkel to a base in Poland. Mission: secure airspace above Baltic states. Very well possible; the Cougars landed in front of the hangar where the memorial service later took place.
