Maple Flag 2013, Cold Lake, Alt.

Although Maple Flag will start on 27 May, some exotic participants for this edition arrived today, six Colombian Air Force Super Tucanos and one Herk. A-29B: FAC3101, FAC3110, FAC3121, FAC3124, FAC3125 +1 C-130H: FAC1015 KC-767 FAC1202 joined later as. any help with missing serial will be appreciated!

Crizz,

Angel 7 (1) in the hangar was prob single 163468, noted on March 16, same spot.
Angel 7 (2) was prob a dual, as it was at Key West March 23, buno unknown.

Angel 1 however was photoproof at Key West March 23 as 163498, pilot CDR Tom Frosch, you have it as code 3.

It flew south via Brownsville (TX), visiting several Central American countries and arrived at Rionegro (Colombia) on March 5th, still wearing its last five 27241.

Ok, here we go again... 8) the Summit of the Americas was held in Cartagena, Colombia, a short distance from Curacao. Although the US President felt safe to spend the night in Colombia, his plane was parked at Curacao for two nights. And as you all know, the US President never travels alone... Arriv...

Time for a little update. I have not been out and around the airfield a lot lately (and yes, missed a lot of interesting stuff too....) but got a few to share. Weather and spotting places are still great, as the diversity of traffic here. For those interested, I will upload another report next week....

Indeed, there have been many rumours over the years, even former Swiss Hawks were mentioned as a replacement aircraft. For the foreseeable future no project to replace the Tutor is underway; although old, the aircraft are still found reliable and sufficient spare parts are available to keep them fly...
