Hi all, Gilze Rijen Aviation Society had organised a visit to the Royal Dutch Air Force Historical Flight (SKHV) yesterday. And blessed with nice weather, lots of aircraft and very friendly staff, it turned out to be a great visit! Seen were the following. Operational: B-64 AT-16 PH-LSK, no mks B-18...
Thanks for the Chipmunk. This is the first British built Chippie ever by the way, with c/n 0001
It used to be stored apparently, but luckily it surfaced again!
how difficult can it be to type just one bloody character extra so everybody knows that the subject is OrLy? "Vechten tegen de bierkaai" is what comes to mind. But I fully agree, how difficult can it be...? We're getting off topic, but I stopped trying to help people with requests who don't mention...
Your Sentinel was ZJ693. I *think* the second "Shadow" is the recently arrived civil Be.200 that will be used as a training aircraft. I would like to get confirmation on this as well though.
Both UH-1s on the static carried no markings. Confirmed by the crew:
70+88 is operated by THR 30 (despite the LTG special markings!)
72+27 is operated by THR 10.
If somebody can confirm the unit for 71+12 (that was on SAR alert) that would be great.
I can recommend a visit here as well. Most aircraft have a very interesting history with the test units at Boscombe, and there are some very rare aircraft there! Plus friendly staff, glad the collection is finally open for the public
