A Polish AF W-3 crash landed this afternoon close to a farm at Massanzago, Padova. It was one of the two currently deployed at Rivolto for exercise APROC, the aircfraft took fire after land and is a total lost, all six on board, 5 polish and one french, are all ok.

88-0460 seen today recoded AV with the green 555th FS's fin tip and 88-0521 still coded HL flew with the 510th FS.

I was told the Air Force had a shortage of fighter pilots than they needs more D model for training, if true those three will turned up as LF or AZ shortly.

New infos suggest the HL's arrived from the states and due to their parking location, the 510th ramp, may look like "new" Vipers for Aviano.

They arrived togheter with Quid 51-61 and some 510th FS F-16's probabily from the Djibouti det. where the "HL" were detatched too?
