One aspect that is too easily forgotten: the MRTTs are operated by an international organization. And like any international organization (EU, NATO, UN etc) purchases are tax exempt. So no VAT to be paid on these aircraft!

The two Caracals returned after having been away for more than four hours. TLP was in the air with 25 aircraft today. I was told that a 3rd Italian EUFI arrived this morning. Further visitors were a Spanish AF Beech and an A400 that arrived after the TLP aircraft had recovered. I missed it☹️ Anyone ...

An HH-139 took off just now and looks on its way home as well.

The two C-130s have just left, apparently not on a TLP mission. Also saw an HH-139 flying east this morning.
