Re: EBMB 16-01-2018 MIL

I left Brussels airport 30 minutes ago and C-32 was readied for departure (parked at Abelag). The C-26 left at 5:10 PM indeed. I was right on time to catch it. The Swiss Falcon left a few minutes later. A German AF CL-600 serie was parked next to the C-32, as well as an unidentified Gulfstream...

Are those planes, which arrived and didn't depart yesterday, still there ? And if yes, are they at Abelag ?

Re: Belgium rejected the French offer for Rafale

As far as I know and after checking the main Belgian medias, no information in the Belgian News, those days, about the French offer being already officially rejected. Of course we may consider that the chances for Dassault to win the race are low. But I think that it is too early to consider, at thi...

BTW - Nice capture Olli

Comparing the previous and new pictures, I notice a new antena appearing on the back of the re-sprayed aircraft, behind the cockpit.
So I guess it involved a modernization process also.

Never seen so many police around : it was forbidden to get close to Abelag and even to different roads around... So no pictures possible, even from the distance, and awfull trafic jams around (I guess some passengers misse...

More news here : Only some of them will be made airworthy again (for now, just 5 are involved, with hopes to extend to around 30), the rest being used for spares : http://www.air-cosmos.com/sabca-reconfigure-des-mirages-f-1-103239 http://www.latribune.fr/entreprises-finance/industrie/aeronautique-de...

Retired French AF Mirages F-1 overhauled in Belgium

The ex-French Air force Mirages F-1 CR/CT recently bought by US firm ATAC now seem to be in Gosselies (Charleroi) at Sabca for overhaul. Did anybody notice them there ? Following this Newspaper, they would be present since September. Some Mirage's return to the sky soon to be expected I hope, even t...

Re: Europe Oct 2017: Fort Hood 1st CAB 1st Cav. Div. to come

I was at Chievres on 26th, until 1:30 PM. The 2nd wave, leaving at 1 PM was only made of UH-60s all of them wearing the red cross (8 choppers). But their numbers aren't visible on my pictures. The first wave, 20 minutes sooner was a composite flight : One CH-47 F, at least one AH-64 and 4 or 5 other...

Re: Europe Oct 2017: Fort Hood 1st CAB 1st Cav. Div. to come

I went to Chievres this morning. Two waves departed between 12:30 and 1:00 PM (about 15-16 left, mostly Black Hawks + one Chinook). The second wave was only made of 8 Medevac Blackhawks. Around 30-40 (includong 6-7 Chinooks and AH-64s) were still there when I left. Police was present around the base...

Re: Kiev Borispol CIV GOV and MIL

Last tuesday at Kiev. A visiting Romanian air force An-30 (nr 1105) was parked next to an Ukrainian same type of aircraft. Unfortinattely a bit to far to allow good pictures from the airport terminal. A few months ago, I was able to make a shot of the two Il-62, which don't look to be used anymore (...
