Re: Bangor,ME (KBGR/BGR) 2011 CIV

I know this is a civ thread, but its the only Bangor thread. Anyone have any info on an AC-130 that was at BGR on the 25th of June? I saw it, but I couldnt get a good enough picture of it to get the registration (I was on a North American Airlines 767 myself)

Re: Afghanistan

Oh man this topic just keeps getting better and better. Those 'Little Birds' are pretty rarely photographed I think! are the Seaking-like choppers (N61nh and N364fh) the S-61T Triton ordered specialy for use in Atan? I doubt that; according to several sources on the web (thank you Google), S-61T's ...

Re: Afghanistan

Tigerspoon those are some wonderful shots. sadly, i only had a point and shoot to work with, so the quality on my shots isnt nearly up to par with yours. MeS was where I was supposed to deploy to originally. Looks like it would have been an amazing spotting experience. Those Chinooks, Apaches, and B...

Re: Fatal U.S. Army AH-64D crash in Afghanistan...

I would like to express my sympathy towards the unit involved and Mr. Thibodeau's family. The fact that his wife is expecting their child, makes it even more tragic. yes it is very tough. he got married just before the deployment, had his honeymoon on R&R, and it was only a few days before his flig...

thank you. it was definitely a surprise when it came in that afternoon after the CH-53E had dropped off the MH-47G, and worth getting up 2 hours earlier than normal to catch it leaving!

Afghanistan

With the obvious adage of OPSEC in consideration here, I am curious to hear what others from around the world have seen in Afghanistan on their travels there. I just finished up a year long tour and am currently on the way home. I was in Sharana, south east Afghanistan. I wont reveal details about t...

REQ: Identity of Bell 412s A6-BAP/BAS

Does anyone here know anything about them? I have seen both A6-BAP and A6-BAS in Afghanistan in the last few months, but no clue what they are flying around. Anyone know anything about them? https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-Gf1GHZsm5fE/TbL59ARjgwI/AAAAAAAAAnM/dOfGCNwDLSU/s800/Picture%252520117.jpg

Re: Fatal U.S. Army AH-64D crash in Afghanistan...

This crash was one of my units birds. Mr. Thibodeau was a great pilot with a wonderful family and his first baby on the way. He will be sorely missed by all. The pilot of the aircraft (Mr. T was the weapons officer on the flight) is recovering back in the states just fine. He is a CW5, so speculatio...
