Re: Prora (Ruegen Island), Germany

Maybe we have to look again to the Technikpark at Grimmen for answers. They were displaying IL.14 SP-LNG as DM-SAD and a green Mi-2 (HA-BCI ex 94+81) together with a green An-2 (LY-ADM). The An-2 has previously been reported on this site as moving to the Prora museum and its colours indeed match the...

Re: RAF Hercules for the chop?

"Not the most reliable press source."
Indeed. That top speed they quote in the article for the A400M is impressively wrong.

Re: Lynx ‘83+55’ c/n?

Thanks again Sjoerd. Based on your observations, could '83+54' be based on the cast-off airframe from the original mk.88 83+07, which the Scramble database postulates might be at Nordholz? The 'c/n 540' painted on the tail, would be more appropriate on S.Korean Wildcat 16-0606 though. From Nils phot...

Lynx ‘83+55’ c/n?

Recent mention of Lynx ‘83+55’ in the Wreck & Relics section of Scramble 499 has re-ignited a question as to its c/n: ’83+55’ was at the rear of the training hangar presentation at the Tag de Budeswehr Nordholz in 2019. Access to the machine wasn’t possible at the time to check the doorpost data pla...

Thanks Mark. Indeed, the thinking being that 18-0001 could have been in the spray shop.

Re: Luke AFB

Many thanks Mark & Tally. Much appreciated.
I had seen a report for the end of January noting 4 stored under the sunshades, so it's good to know that the old Swarovski doesn't need a service yet.
Of course, this info begs the questions as to where 18-0001 and 18-005 & 6 are...

Re: Luke AFB

Can anyone update on the status of the stored THK F-35s please? I ask because, despite spending considerable time on the evening of 16.3 looking across from the fire dump end of Northern Ave, we could only make out 3 THK F-35s in the sunshades. Although knowing that these sunshades are built in rows...

Ronny,
In the morning, the two u/i S.Lynx o/s hangar southeast were 83+10 (which, as you note, flew) and 83+13.
