The way i understand it, this artical is about the "joint warrior 2012" exercise, held in Lossiemouth, Scotland. Not about the upcoming "Forceval" exercise, to be held this month. There should be a lot of flying activity though. Last time in 2009 (Trollenhagen) they flew two to three missions a day ...

You can take you're camera wirh you.
I was there last august and had no problem.
Two sorties a day with 6 to 8 aircraft.
Photo's from outside is no problem, just stay away from the fence.
I've tried to arrange a photo visit myself but no response from the italians.

Happy hunting
