Post by Argus 01 »

Is there anyone who has a recent frequency list for Spangdahlem? All that i could find on the internet were freq’s before the 2019/2020 UHF frequency change....

We are preparing an update to the Spangdahlem Airfield Guide and have updated the frequencies. Find the guide here and additions/corrections welcome, of course.

Official sources are always a good start; see https://www.milais.org/publications.php and search for Spangdahlem

Update on the AFG:

Ops and AMC freq's should be: (date mentioned is last heard)

138.125 Spangdahlem - Grizzly OPS -Dec-2021
258.700 Operations 52nd FW CP -Apr-2022
278.275 Spangdahlem AMC Operations -Apr-2022
299.850 SPANGDAHLEM SQN ops Warhawk -Apr-2022

314.600 as mentioned in the AFG; is Maastrich GAT SPECIAL OPERATIONS - South FL245 -FL660 and has no relation to Spangdahlem; this one can be removed.
Assume makes an ASS of U and ME.

Thanks guys, and what are the most recent Approach (GCA) freq’s (VHF & UHF)? Those are not listed in the Mil AIP and I’m not a subscriber so don’t have acces to the AFG...

Nice one: it is mentioned on an ETAD Instrument Departure Chart dated 04nov21. A short search reviews, from fb  : "Nearly 4 years ago, Lippe RADAR was integrated into EUROCONTROL". I will remove the freq indeed.

Edit: It's still the same piece of airspace I suppose, but not relevant enough for our purposes.

Most likely yes; as it is the most upper airspace one can have. On a regular basis one can hear Norvenich Eufi's going up and down to the training areas above the North Sea. See below map for a complete structure of the upper airspace. 314.600 is also mentioned in this map.

Last weekend on departure to the East the Growlers went from 379.350 -> 398.700 and the F-35's 379.350 -> 387.150 (Rhein Radar - Spang / Ramstein area) - Credit Joost
