Cologne Airport 02-03-2023

Post by YOXA »

Today we spotted the both ex GAF Challengers, ex 9H-THC (12+01) and C5-AFT (12+03) N50.85644, E7.134075

Can some one confirmed this is the ex Ex Guatemala AirForce F-27? N50.87715, E7.11810

Thanks in advance

Is this F-27 still in the yellow c/s?
If it is parked on the coordinates you say: strange position in the corner near the local charter flights, close to the free (ca 5 min) drop off spot near the terminal?

The friendship on the location I mentioned (and yes it is near the terminal) is mainly white.

Out of curiousity: which F-27 are we talking about? Has it been at Köln long?

Thanks guys.
Here is a very recent picture of it, clearly parked on a platform instead of one of the dispersals it used to be:

Can't find the exact position though.

EDIT:
Can some one confirmed this is the ex Ex Guatemala AirForce F-27? N50.87715, E7.11810
Found another picture of it, and this seems indeed the right one. See this picture:

The F-27 on apron A is ex D-BAKD and was FAG TG-AEA
The F-27 at the old airport Butzweiler Hof is ex D-AELM and was Ivory Coast AF TU-VAJ
Cheers from Köln

Thanks for the info about the ex Ivory Coast AF Fokker. Is it still preserved here?
I found the last posted picture from November 2021
