Manufacturer Serial Number Plates

Post by Antilliaan »

holas!

not much to do with the 'art' of photography itself, but very interesting for many of us:
the manufacturer serial plates, or construction number plates if you wish. I have not seen a thread about this before, so here goes the invitation to post your pics of readable plates of as many different types of aircraft as possible...

To kick off, here's the first two:

Hi,

I always appreciate this kind of images 8)

But could you please stick to the articles on our Wiki and upload your images there too? You can log in there using exactly the same credentials (user name and password) as for this message board.

Why the wiki?
  1. The wiki is lasting => any thread on this message board will disappear after some time, while the information on the wiki will stay indefinitely.
  2. Find back => even before a thread completely disappears from the message board, it will rapidly become hard to find back (although the last post was only one week ago, this thread was already on page 4 in the topic overview), while on the wiki in general it will always stay at the same location.
  3. Upload images => partly to guarantee the first point, you can upload any image directly to the Scramble server, instead of the need to upload them to another server first as is the case on this message board.
  4. Logic => On the wiki you can present/order the information in a logic way, while on the message board the sole logic is the time information (photo's) was posted.
This message board absolutely has its advantages, but it is very "fluid", so for this kind of "encyclopaedic" information, the wiki is way better suited.

Regards,

Hans
