You're making me jealous with pics like that.... Could you be a nice guy and ask them to make a touch and go at Aruba from time to time? :mrgreen:

About those last two, they were there for exercise "Deux Tricolores 2010". The CN235 also visited Aruba (together with 129) to drop off the french marines taking part in the exercise. I believe the Puma was used for inserting troops into the battle field....

kind of, rain has been terrible in November and still is at times; the Puma and CN235 were shot on the only afternoon in November with some modest sunshine.... welcome in the Caribbean!

Seems we have to deal with La Nina, the evil sister of El Nino.... Whereas El Nino causes dry summers in the Caribbean, La Nina causes extreme wet rain seasons....

Hi all,

nice pictures are those. I am going on a holiday to Curacao and my question is if there are any vantagepoins inside the terminal. I understand that the terrace has disappeared. And is it allowed to use radioscanner at Curacao?

Grtz,

Miguel

@Miguel

no vantage points inside the terminal, only limited views airside, but not suitable for photography. The old terminal used to have a viewing terrace, but this was not suitable for photography either. On both sides of the terminal there are good vantage points for spotting though. And yes, use of a scanner is not frowned upon.

Great photographing opportunities I think. Next holiday destination? Think the brochures for next summer are due just before Christmas...

Tasty stuff! That Caribbean sea and those cactusses (?) make for a nice background. Probably the longest prop vortexes I have ever seen in your third shot.

Bas

PS. some seem a bit oversharpenend, there is some 'glow in the dark' effect for example around the tail of both Herks.

Time for a little update. I have not been out and around the airfield a lot lately (and yes, missed a lot of interesting stuff too....) but got a few to share. Weather and spotting places are still great, as the diversity of traffic here.

For those interested, I will upload another report next week... some of you may already know what the main topic will be.... for now, I hope you enjoy!

The manufacturer's J-Stars, testing its new engines and some upgrades, where else?

Ok, its not military, but a beast it is!
