I love this topic.

Fantastic picturesa, really shows how busy Soesterberg used to be.
Wouldn't mind a topic like this for some other bases like Eindhoven for instance as well, but I like this topic anyway :P

all I can say is :shocked!: more more more! :D

Nice topic! So common in the eighties and nineties, CR coded Eagles at Soesterberg. Now we wish they were back… Two pics made in 1992.

Here some cockpit shots. I always liked the interaction with the pilots and some of them give great responses.

And here a shot of the farewell flight of the last KLM DC-9. It was escorted by two 32nd TFS Eagles and brought some officials to Soesterberg. Unfortunately the weather was bad but at least it is a nice view :)

Up to you again Roel ! :D

I did a big dive into my old negatives and made some scans of them. Unfortunately the quality of some is not good anymore but I hope you still like them!

A nice OV-1 Mohawk from the Army in Germany:

A Danish Gulfstream on a visit to bring pilots to the centrifuge in Soesterberg:

Another Dane, this time a Draken departing the 1984 Open Dag. I see I have some PS to do to make this look right again....

Tomorrow some other ones :)

Wow, nice photos. I saw many of those jets myself on the same days, like the SP F-4E with chute, the Buccs and TJ F-16s. Coincidence?

My contribution: some local Eagles.
