Sure about the Dakota? Recently we saw Dakota KP220 at Coningsby, ZA947 should be at Duxford for maintenance. Unless it returned recently, of course.

Probably I missed something, but 10 and 80 Sqn fly the Tiffie? I thought 10 Sqn is at Brize with the Voyager, and 80 Sqn never reactivated after 1969?

Thanks for enlightening me!

Maybe another silly question:

We were at Coningsby at Wednesday March 22. We saw several different aircraft. How can you determine the squadron the Typhoons are flying with when no squadron markings are applied?

Cheers

Another indicator is are they flying from the 2 shelter areas or the flightline. The eastern HAS site is 11 Sqn, the western one 3 Sqn, and the flightline 29 Sqn or 12sqn, most of the 12 Sqn jets carry squsdron markings.

I do not write logs of looked up Typhoon BuNo's. All are read..
Units of acft without sqn markings are either looked up (e.g. last MAR Updates) or derived from callsigns.

That is a logical initial thought. However, reliable updates can only be derived from logs with specific 'as seen' information.

Small contribution from my side, RAF Typhoons seen 21 and 22 March, both days from approx. 9.30 until early afternoon, listed below. The last few times I've been here it was always that busy btw, great base.

12sq

29sq

41sq
ZK375, ZK433

nmks, from fltline (N side)
ZK321, ZK335, ZK368 (29sq call), ZK381, ZK342, ZK436, ZK437, ZK432

nmks, from shelter area (S side)
ZK306, ZK319, ZK334, ZK347, ZK351, ZK357, ZK358, ZK369 (3sq call), ZK371, ZK434, ZK350, ZK431 (3sq call)
