I've just looked at the photo of this Huey arriving by air on the Flugzeugforum and it looked very sweet and very clean. It also didn't have a roundel on it, so my first thought it was freshly overhauled at Coleman.

Question remains...what is it doing at Rammy (airlift to Tunesia?)? Is this maybe one of the absolete ex-USAREUR Hueys that was being stored at Coleman for some time now and being transfered/sold to Tunesia, as it's unknown to the Scramble DB!?

Also note one Sinai Blackhawk also arrived from Coleman (26070). Nice day!

One was 64-0527,but I thought there were only 2 flying in formation.
Thank you so much. Although there was some overcast in the area, there were definitely three. They were flying behind each other in (what looked like) some sort of parachute-formation. Maybe it joined in from elsewhere, who knows. I had a business meeting, so I was already overjoyed when seeing some aircraft in the area. I also noted a Blackhawk landing at Coleman, but didn't see anything else as we blasted past the field on our way back.

A second one was 835 and this and 64-0527 both departed at 16,28 local time. These are the only 2 I have departure info for on the 22nd,although 3 did land around 21.30.

It is parked on ramp6, the ramp that is hardly visible from outside (only when you know the places, and have no fear for hights, you might be lucky)

If you take a look at the callsign. If i remember correctly 22514 is a very well know number of a former HQUSEUCOM UH-1H.

More info on departure is more than welcome.

My thoughts exactly. In that case it should be 74-22514, l/n may'05 at Coleman(!)

Anyone knows how many Tunesia ordered, as I think we might expect some more since the Huey storage (outside) has shrunk over the last few years from 15(+?) to only 8 noted by us in september. Maybe the rest is being prepped somewhere inside a hangar at Coleman?

Cheers,
Sjoerd
