Did the F-001 leave for the US in the meantime?
Or still unserviceable?

Re: Departures after Luchtmachtdagen
F001 "first of the many" still waiting for ANWB technical services?
"Nix bliev wie it es"
Re: Departures after Luchtmachtdagen
It looks like this info is not shared as this might give the F-35 (again) a bad reputation...Alpha Kilo One wrote:F001 "first of the many" still waiting for ANWB technical services?

It was already 'demonstrated' during the show on Friday that the F-001 had an issue during start up...
In case still at Volkel, the issue is most likely serious.

So it's not hidden from the public that it's still broken.

Of course the info cannot be swept under the carpet...nilsko wrote:So it's not hidden from the public that it's still broken.

It was clear that the F-001 had an issue while starting up in front of the audience.
The main question remains whether it is still broken after almost 1,5 week (the article is from June 18th).
That info (status quo) is not known or not shared for whatever reason.
Re: Departures after Luchtmachtdagen
It's no secret... the airframe is still at Volkel AB.
The current status of repair or maintenance is unknown to me,
but be sure: safety first!
I still believe it's a magnificent airplane and sometimes these things occur.
My car was in the garage because of a red light and it took the specialists three weeks to find out what was wrong.
And I was lucky to have a bike as a backup vehicle

Ok thanks!
If repaired, that could probably mean some testflights before crossing the Atlantic.
Or just keep it at Volkel!
