exercise march 1993

Does anyone know if there was an exercise going on at Leeuwarden in March 1993? I saw lots of Volkel and Twenthe F-16s on the 25th of that month and I'm curious if these were just regular visitors or if they were there because of an exercise.

Wasnt the DWIC (Dutch Weapons Instructor Course) around that time ?.
Whit Flankers at EHLW in April !!.

Correct. I was there on the 21st of April and among the Russian stuff F-16's from Volkel and Twente were seen all in relation the DWIC exercise.

Were the Twenthe and Volkel F-16s based at Leeuwarden during the DWIC?

I guess so. They flew local missions so took off and recovered into EHLW. Don't know for how long these periods were or if there were any changes in between. I only visited one day, so the presence of the Ruskies might have attracted some folk from other bases.
