HH3F

An Italian AF HH3F helicopter crashed in France not far from Strasbourg. The helicopter was on it's way to Florennes to take part in the CSAR mission.

Sad news about the Pelican and its crew... so close and yet so far :cry:

- which was the Italian Eurofighter in the shelter area that was visible from the corner of the farmer's field (where the angry guy with the stick was collecting more money than he had probably ever made in a single day :x )?

- in the same shelter area (to the left of the AMI EF2000) were two Belgian F-16's; one was FA-109; which was the other?

- up to 1400 lt four BAF F-16's departed: first a two-ship of FA-131 (demo) and another one (which?); later two more F-16AM's (which?)

- can anyone confirm that the 4 Greek F-16's were indeed 119-127-129-143? In that case the ones that ended up at Leeming on tuesday must have returned on wednesday..

Heard some sad news today after the cancellation of the mission.
Friday's mission may also be cancelled due to the same reason.
Next week it seems it will be a short one as Florennes is closed on Thursday and Friday and wednesday should be a spanish holiday with no spanish aircraft flying.
So it seems logical that Tuesday will be the last flying day of the TLP.
Anyone who can confirm the rumours about next week??!!

The one that left with FA-131 was FA-108 (both armed with live AMRAAMs and Sidewinders).

I cannot help you on the next two F-16s. Apart from the two above the ones that I photographed today were FB17 (departure in the morning, did not return) and FA57 / 68 / 98 / 108 / 126 / 131. That's all until 16:27.

Hi Roberto,

Why should there be no flying on thursday? According to the schedule on Scramble TLP-section there should be a mission flown on thursday to the UK?

EF2000/Harrier

Does anyone know which Italian EF2000 was parked in the shelterarea, on thursday? (The one that was towed into the shelter?) And anyone knows which Spanish Harrier was towed from the TLP-hangar tgot the TLP platform?

According to the information given by the local fireman yesterday (=source) the next week has an event in the village next door, so therfor there should be no flying activities, Also a spanish holiday, academic on monday so that leaves tuesday as flying.
Bare in mind that a / the CSAR helo that was supposed to participate crashed yesterday in northern France. Don't be surpised if there is no more flying at all (=this part is speculation)

Anyway, the company yesterday made my day. Also take note that the going-rate with the farmer on the east side is 5 euro's per day. Compared to the fueprices and the day free this is a reasonabe price. Lets take care that this price is not going to increase.

46-15 probably had some engine problems and was towed to the other side of the runway yesterday in the afternoon for an engine run.
