I was wondering as well...

Now I got a Pro account without Ads... but the new Pro cost twice as much (from about $25 to $50 per year) and the free seems much better option now. But what about the Ads for the free account, which you got for free as well?

Also the new layout is not what I expected. Yes, I does look good but missing all the information as only title is visible.
But maybe I still have to figure out how things work, maybe you can change?

Cheers,
Matthijs

I must say... I never see those ads thanks to an adblocker in FF, so no problem with the free account ads.
What I do not like about the new Flickr is the fact that every page takes way too long to load now. This is something that Yahoo apparantly loves, the same problem is getting more and more annoying with just about any Yahoo page. Way too much stuff on a page and it seems to only get more and more everytime I log in.

The increased space is nice, the new layout and loading times are horrible if you ask me.

It's an absolute disaster!
I can't even see my own pictures in IE.8, only too big pictures of other people (my contacts).
In IE.8 Flickr won't load them at all, but with Firefox I can see my own photostream.
You can get your old lay-out back by putting "?details=1" behind the old photostream url.

- You can't remove tags on your pictures
- You can't make a description on your own pictures anymore, just comments.
- You don't have the ability for geotagging, 'cause the map is gone.
- You can't get your pictures in more groups when you've uploaded them earlier.
- You can't reach the 'picturebox' at the bottom of the page, because the damned thing keeps loading new pictures
- and there's probably a lot more that I haven't discovered yet.

It now takes way too much time to read all the complaints etc. on the help-page to enter your own.
There is somebody who made a petition where you can add your name to the growing list of people who want the old situation back. When I want to add my name to the list, nothing happens... typical.

I paid for what was a great site, but it is now utter ==censored==. I don't want to get on a blacklist or something, but in my opinion someone should be severely punished for delivering this incredible disaster to us (and without warning too)... but before that happens they should return it the way it was.
I rather have no pictures on the internet at all before I'm prepared to work with this =censored=!

Too bad this post won't be seen by responsible people of Flickr, 'cause it will snow under in all the other complaints. It'll be years before they would get to my message. My guess is that someone makes a lot of money of this and then walks away... leaving us with a disaster area.

OK... one day later and there are improvements, so I guess it's still a work in progress. It now also loads in IE8 and I've found the "add to groups" option. At the same place you can also add or edit your other stuff, like tags, geotags, etc.
I can live with this :), though I still don't like that 'home' doesn't mean 'your photostream', but pictures of other people...

Bad, bad panda!
Come on. We want photos.
We’re aware of the problem and are fixing it.
Thanks for your patience.

The new Flickr sucks. I just joined a Flickr group with that name, hopefully a lot of people will do that so there might be some changes (for the best I hope...). On the FB page there are loads of complaints too.

Just joined Flickr a few months ago, cause i wanted a professional site for my pics, what a mistake to make !
I hope this is just a temporary thing and they will get things working again (kill that Panda !)
