Setting up an Access serial-database

Post by hdehaan »

Hi all,

I want to put the information of my F-15 and F-16 serialbook, which I keep updated manualy, in a access-database. Is there someone who can give me some advice about setting up this database or who has a dummy access-file which I can use to set this up? I have tried several times to link the different tables (prod.number, serial number, a/c-type, air force and so on) but I don't have enough access-knowledge to get it right.

Thanks.

I've had some lessons in Access in school last year, but I can tell you, it's A LOT more complicated then it looks. I think it's easier to set up a nice file in Excel using different sheets (tabs in the bottom of the screen) to organize it. When you look for something, use CTRL+F in the file and you can just search. Hardly less fancy but much much easier
