KC-135A production question

Post by smitty1960 »

Any -135 experts on here? I'm trying to find out exactly where along the KC-135A production line Boeing switched their internal c/n numbers from 717-100A to 717-146, and 717-148? I've found a single entry that says -100A were built 1956-57, -146s from 1957-58, and -148s from 1948-49. I have no way to verify that single entry, plus I'd like the exact c/n numbers where each stopped and the next one began (if possible). Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I'm too cheap to buy a book--an online link would be preferred.

It seems the first 29 were -100As, the following 68 were -146s, and the remaining 635 were -148s (according to https://www.pprune.org/archive/index.php/t-517247.html and http://www.uswarplanes.net/kc135.html).
