Finland bomb a submarine

Post by hammarö »

Yesterday a Finnish naval ship target bombed a submarine outside Helsinki. They used a smaller bomb to threat the submarine within Finnish waters. The country origin is not known, but most of us knew the country origin of the submarine.

This is a new trend of submarine threat in Baltic waters. We know certainly can see larger activity of ASW forces in the Baltic see. Both ASW ship forces as flying ASW forces on fixed-wing and helicopters. New electronic devices on seafloor need testing and usage. Not long a ago US Navy based a P-8 ASW plane on Estonian Ämäri air base outside Tallinn.

They didn't bomb a sub, they let off depth charges to scare away any possibly intruding submarine.

Actually, such BUBs (break-up-bombs) can be quite a nuisance if dropped well...
