A 380

Post by ETURSPOTTER »

Hi all,

Civil is not my main topic, but I heard something last week who I'm not fore sure if its correct.

Someone told me that the A 380 is in 2 versions.
He believed its the Quantas or Emirates users.
The diverence is in the back of the ac, in one version is in the back a R & R room for for the flight crew.

Again I never heard it before so im curios if its correct.

Never say Quantas to Qantas, I believe that's a big thing for them.... but besides that ;-)

There is only one version of the A380, the A380-800. However, each customer has its own cabin layout. Emirates even has two different layouts for the real long range (with crewrest) and for shorter flights (without crewrest). So it is correct... and it is not, depending on how you define 'version'.

Or perhaps A380-840 series (Rolls Royce engines) and A380-860 series (Engine Alliance engines)?
