Lot 17 contract modification
13 Jun 2022

This modification increases the scope to procure long lead-time materials, parts,
components, and effort for the production of eight Lot 17 F-35A aircraft for one

Which FMS serial corresponds with F-028? Should be FMS 20-56xx
No f/f yet reported on F-027?

The "strange" part on this modification of the contract is that it is listed under the US Navy. According to my knowledge, the only FMS customer related to the US Navy are the RAF and Italy.
Looking at the number of requested F-35As in one Lot, it seems more logical that these are for the RAF. However, I have not seen a report yet that the RAF is already ordering the F-35A model. So far they have only ordered the F-35B model.

Any thoughts on this Lot 17 modification contract?

ALL F-35 contracts ( F-35A / F-35B / F-35C) and modifications are via Naval Air Systems Command, so they are listed as US NAVY
