US ARMY C-37A (97)-01944

Yesterday I saw US ARMY C-37A (97)-01944 flying above Finland (ads-b) as 05-1944. Is FY05
correct?

FY 05 is incorrect. I shot this aircraft back in 2000 as 97-0049 also flying for the US Army.

They reregistered the three C-37's from the US Army to historical dates ; 1863, 1778, and 1944

J. Baugher's site has:

97-01944			Gulfstream Aerospace C-37A
				MSN 566.  Gulfstream V N466GA.  For US Army, registered as N8VQ.  Originally
					carried the military registration of 97-00049. Registration
					N8VQ cancelled Nov 2005, plane was relabeled 97-01944, apparently
					to commemorate the D-Day landings, but had no official meaning.  Later relabeled 05-01944
