Hi, from a visit with ewas a few months ago. (30/04/09)

Mir.3E Instr. Brandweer, 4-BH maar achter de 4 stond ook nog heel vaag een 3.

Hope this helps.

Code 3-JH is the previous code before 4-BH, so this could make sence.
However the 550 is one time (Sep06) noted stored at
Cannes Mandelieu.

Hi,

Another Saudi C-130 (an HZ registered one) arrived on monday late afternoon (approx 17:15 hrs). This aircraft was parked on base on tuesday but was tail-on all day. Anyone for a serial of this bird? It arrived on the same day as the Saudi VIP BBJ.

The 3-BH (thanks for correction by the way) was not noted at Dijon in 2007 yet but at Cannes Mandelieu (as per EMOOS), so could very well be that she has moved to Dijon during 2007 or later?

Does anyone have a recent log on Cannes Mandelieu that could confirm that 550 has left?

I think it is very likely that 550 has been at Dijon all the time - it was delivered there from Chateaudun in June 2000.
This means the sighting at Cannes is almost certainly a mispole. One obvious candidate for the Cannes aircraft is 530, another of the machines supplied to Brazil which probably never left France.

As where are talking W&R now, I can add some of my sightings from last Friday (16/10) aswell.
Besides the earliers discussed (unknown) Mirage IIIE, parked next to the firestation and control tower, I managed to note to following W&R also:
H-34A (SKY479)
MH.1521M (226/2-HF)
Mirage 5F 14/(13-PW)
SA.226T F-GZ(JM) (ex CF-04, still in former BLu c/s)
L-39C ..-air (blue c/s, grey lion painting on tail. "air" seem to be a part of a civil reg. not sure)
Kind Regards / Groeten,
