Pillan: 79-52, 79-53, 79-55, 79-56, 79-65, 79-83, 79-68, 79-58, 79-86

Recently the new Murcia airport started operations, all civil flights have moved to there. At San Javier the road to the old civil terminal is completely fenced off. Otherwise spotting locations are intact and spotting is as relaxed as before.

Any ideas where the best remaining spotting places are und if it is possible to observe actvities on both runways at the same time?

Around runway 05 you have perfect opportunities. Small stepladder might be helpfull. You can see activity on both runways but photography on one runway at a time.

Very easy to find with google maps

05L is used by Pillans. 05R is used by C101 and other traffic, and provides best opportunities.
Indeed small steps are helpful but not necessary if you're over 180 cm height.
23 ends are inaccessible.
Plus San Javier is very nice for holiday activities, hotels, restaurants, beaches, the world's largest mud bath, good for your health!
