Other deployments in NL '90s questions

CF-188s on Twenthe in september 1993

Anyone knows how long the Canadian CF-188s were on Twenthe in september 1993 and if they were there on deployment or on a squadron exchange? If so, what was the name of the deployment (if it did have any) of with which squadron did they exchange?

Hello,

Two replys to the questions:

1) Mir2000s HAF were indeed on exchange at volkel in 1993.
2) Canberras at Gilze were there (1994) due to an exercise called "Bronze Invader" together with some RAF Hawks.

Just another question. What kind of exercise was Volkit? Could it be compared to an FWIT exercise?
I have the same question for exercise Bronze Invader.

Last question (for the moment that is). Is there anybody who has a list of all the exercises that went on at Leeuwarden from 1990 up to now? Help would be much appreciated.

Being put on the right track by "Key", I want to know exactly which exercises on Leeuwarden were Frisian Flags and which ones were FWIT's. I need that informatien for my personal logs for Leeuwarden.
Thanx.

I thought we had put a nice Database online with over 60.000 known movements at Leeuwarden, starting in 1937 and onwards! You can find all your answers here.

Hello again,

Questions and questions, this is what I know:

1) Squadron-exchange 1993 at Volkel was with 311 squadron.

2) Bronze Invader started at Gilze-Rijen at 21 march 1994 and present were 4x Hawk from 100sqn and 5x Canberra from 360sqn. I don't know the real purpose from this exercise.

3) Exercise VolKit played in the second half of november 1992 at Volkel and is not a sort of FWIT exercise as far as I know.

4) Last but not least the exercise at Volkel in january 1994 was called 'Minivol'. Present were 5 Tornado F3s, 6 Buccaneers and 1 Hunter. Good old times...:-)

It's 100% to the point, and the purpose is not 'just' promotion but to answer a question... I say :thumb:
