Found the following in the SIS updates
Op vrijdag 20 april organiseert de klu (ivm met een wervingsactie) een race op Volkel tussen een F-16 en de formule 1 wagen van spyker. Dit zal zijn tussen 13.00 en 16.45 uur.
Verdere gegevens over toegang van personen weet ik nog niks van.
Het gehele veld heeft vrij die dag.
Small translation, on friday 20 april there will be a race between a F-16 and a Formula 1 car of the Spijker team.
No information about access to the field on that day.

Hereby the NOTAM for that day.
M0500/07 - 5139N00542E EHVK ARP RAD 5NM AIRDISPLAY, REQ TO AVOID AREA GND FL140 20 APR 11:00 UNTIL 20 APR 15:00
The NOTAM also says the display will be between 13.00 and 17.00 Local time.

ps more info about Spijker and the KLU in the coming SIS edition of Scramble :wink:

According a SMS ive got today C-17 02-1104 was on Volkel or still is.
It was coming from Kleine Brogel.
Dont know if its still in VKL.

If it's parked at runway 06R/24L the following NOTAM has to do with the C-17
M0538/07 - RWY 24L/06R CLSD 04 APR 06:00 UNTIL 05 APR 14:45
Local times are 08.00 and 16.45.

Have fun.
Assume makes an ASS of U and ME.

AD OPR HRS ARE CHANGED FROM TUE-THU 0600-1445 TO TUE-THU 0600-2045 (MIL AIP EHVK AD 2-1 REFERS 10 APR 06:00 UNTIL 12 APR 20:45

This is due to an RNlAF exercise called -CLSK-Inspectie-

Who has some more info what will happen with these exercises?

CLSK is Commandant Luchtmachtstrijdkrachten. In het persbericht over de oefening van twee weken geleden stond het volgende:
Vliegbasis Volkel bereidt zich in deze oefenweek voor op een eindinspectie van de Commandant Luchtmachtstrijdkrachten in de tweede week van april. In de laatste week van april wordt de inzet van het vliegbasispersoneel nogmaals getest. Dan gaat een internationaal inspectieteam tijdens een Operational Evaluation het vuur aan de schenen van de militairen leggen en de resultaten beoordelen.

The inspection from the CLSK (Airforce commander) normally doesn't mean any extra movements. Just the normal number of sorties will be flown.

At least thats what I've experienced the other times the commander did his inspection.

During the CLSK inspection each wave will consist of a maximum of 12 F-16's. On Tuesday (first day of the exercise) only an evening sortie will be flown. On Wednesday and Thursday the planning is to have three sorties, one morning, one afternoon and one evening mission.
