De MiG-killer gaat met pensioen! Op vrijdag 18 november 2022 maakt de J-063 zijn laatste vlucht.

Met dit legendarische toestel, op 24 maart 1999, knalde piloot

Thanks again for the updates.

The J-021 and 'MiG Killer' J-063 were withdrawn for use leaving 25 operational F-16's with 312sq. The scaling down of F-16's operations is going at a faster phase than planned (45 operational in 2022, 35 in 2023 and 25 in 2024).

The J-201 was withdrawn from use on december 20, 2022 leaving 24 operational F-16's with 312sq. This should be the amount of airframes for the coming years until the expected retirement of the F-16 in 2024.

The J-003 returned from maintenance.

In the first month of 2023 already more than half of the remaining 24 operational F-16's of 312sq flew missions from Volkel.

No mutations of squadron markings yet this year, it remains to be seen when the last operational F-16 without markings, the J-011, will get Bonzo colors.

Thank you for the updates.

The J-197 returned from SABCA without the special tail, later in the month it received a full colour badge. The J-017 came back to Volkel from LCW while the J-006 went to Charleroi for maintenance.

During the period December 2022 - February 2023 12 withfrawn from use F-16's were consolidated at SABCA at Charleroi. The 11 ex-Tucson airframes arrived from Florida via Lajes while the J-646 arrived in February from Volkel. I have added the SABCA wfu airframes to the overview.

As of today, March 29th, J-011 has full color 312sqn markings as well.
