Securite Civile at the lake (Lac `d Eupen, Belgium)

Post by LimburgSpotter »

Hi all,

Some shots taken allong the lake from Eupen (Lac d`Eupen / Stausee Eupen. The CL-415 from Securite Civile (F-ZBFN) was doing some test with taken water in on the lake, and dropping it at the (fake) bushfire arround Elsenborn.

I know I had to be at the otherside of the lake, but I arrived 15 minutes before the ETA . As it was almost 7 km walking I was not able to get there in time |:( .... :x  Well enjoy this unusual pictures taken in Belgium

Hi Bjorn.

Very nice pictures do you've made.
You're a lucky guy that you've been there!!
Photo 11 from the front is very nice.

Björn,
Very good shots, well done! Why would you want to be on the other side of the lake?

Hi Björn,

hope u dont mind when I add a couple of mine......was nice to meet u their!
We were in the morning also in Liege for some ground-shots, and left right in time to do our 7km "hike" at the lake, to be in position when
the CL-415 showed-up.
It was a 55 min walk to get at the spot on the other side of the "pond", but it was worth every single meter!
And what a day....great accompany and lots of action!

Cheers
Mick

Just to start with....what sound and sight!

Just in time on the other side.....when this fella, did this "wet-run"!

Image

Banking nicely towards my photo-spot!

Image

And with some water...u can easily get a "mirror-effect" again :-)

Image

It was fun to get so close to the "action" at the Lake Eupen.......even the aircrews had lots of fun too!

Wow, some fantastic photos in there, gents! The lake action is awesome as it is, and despite that Bjorn's last one is the winner for me. Such a strong image! :yourock:
