Nice, Yorick... we all see you are really improving these days!

But your pictures are still soft, if you'll sharpen them a little it looks better.

Nice shots.

The pictures are indeed a bit soft, like Boudewijn says.
But I don't think it's a sharpening problem which you can solve in Photoshop completely.

Checking the last shot, it appears that the engines on the right wing are a lot more in focus then the tail.
I'd suspect a focal depth problem on this one.

When I look at your EXIF data, you took the shot with a F-stop of f5.6.
That will cost you your focus on parts of the plane, most of all when you take a shot of a large plane like the Awacs, with around 70 mm.

As a suggestion:
Try to increase the F-stop a few steps. It will cost you some shutterspeed, so perhaps take it back to 1/320 or, in case of an Awacs back to 1/250 (might be tricky, but I think it should be possible)

As a second tip: focus on the fuselage of the plane when you shoot something from the side, not on a wing. Out of focus on text (like a serial) is much easier to see as (e.g.) on a small wing part.

Hope it helps.

With kind regards,

Krazy
