Hello everybody,

changing jobs often comes with the advantage that you need to take up all your vacation days. So, in the last few weeks I did that. Next to moving to a new house, I also thought it would be fun to go somewhere photographing planes. I had Heathrow, Frankfurt or Paris in my sight. Eventually I chose Paris due to the weather forecast (dry and sometimes sunny).

I arrived at CDG around noon. Here are some of my personal highlights from this day:

Great looking A330 of Etihad:

Than another A330, this time Cyprus Airways. Always nice to see something else than their A319's or A320's:

Yet another A330, this time Egypt Air, in the old colors:

Nice and clean looking A310 of the Air Force:

All Nippon used a extra long Triple Seven on the daily from Tokyo. Great to catch the Star Alliance logojet:

Charles de Gaulle is a good airport for shooting A330's. Here XL Airways:

Asiana is also a daily visitor, using B777-200's:

FedEx flies with various equipment into the Paris hub. Here a A300 and a MD-11:

I really like the Saudia colors:

And the last personal highlight of that day as the light was getting too bad, Air China A340:

All in all a nice day. In between I also made a run to Le Bourget, but the aprons were mainly filled with French and American bizzers, nothing really exotic. When I was parked behind the large Air France Industries hangars I had a brief chat with a local spotter who said that they were also going to put up those nasty white "walls" at that location and behind the old terminal building. Which basically means that all fences are going to be screened off and you'll always need steps to see what's going on at Le Bourget... The local said that it was requested by the FBO's of the airport to ensure privacy of their customers. He didn't know, however, when it would be done.

Spotting at De Gaulle was done near Le Mesnil Amelot. As always, I was questioned by the Gendarmes, but I had the permit, so everything was okay for them (and me!).

Next day (CDG and ORY will follow soon).

Cheers!
