Innsbruck - Operation "Daedalus 2008"

Post by chinoock »

Hello there,

the Austrian "Bundesheer" secured a part of the airspace and no-fly zones for the World Economic Forum 2008 taking place in Davos in Switzerland.
For the duration of the WEF and the Operation "Daedalus 2008" the Airport Innsbruck was used as a base for the aircrafts Saab 105OE, Pilatus PC-7 und Pilatus PC-6.

Besides the military traffic was some charter traffic and the regular flights at the Airport Innsbruck:

Great pictures! Will there be every year air cover out of Innsbruck during the WEF? great opportunity to catch some Austrian Air Force aircraft with a beautiful background.
Assume makes an ASS of U and ME.
