D-ABVX leaving Twente Airport

Post by Niek »

Last Tuesday, the second to last Lufthansa Boeing 747-400 departed from Twente Airport as flight LH9871 to Frankfurt. The nice thing about this flight is that this Boeing will not fly to the American desert to be scrapped, but that the D-ABVX will be put back into service after having been parked here for over a year.
I always think it's great that such large aircraft land at Twente, but I think it's even better when they leave again and do what they were built for.
What will happen to the last 747 at Twente? Time will tell...

Hope you like the pictures.
