Very great photos and especially the video is great!

Now that its realized that the MD-11 passenger era is over, it does feel strange as i seen them all my life.

Happy wings MD-11, Farewell!

My tribute, will definitely miss the special sound of the engines, while she taxied towards runway 24 late at night as KL751 to Bonaire and Quito. Saying goodnight to me as she thundered down the runway.

Really nice photo's so far, keep them comming. I was a passenger onboard flight KL9895 the first one of the day. I must give a lot of credits to all the people involved organising this special event. Here are some photo's from my side.

1. The screen showing the three flight for today.
Image

2. Passengers were bussed toward R77 where the PH-KCD was being prepared for the one hour flight in Dutch airspace.
Image

3. My seat was 8D in economy comfort, no window unfortunately but plenty of legroom.
Image

4.
Image

5. Departure runway was 18C. Soon as the seatbelt sign was switched off the chaos began. Here is a wingview.
Image

6. Special food for this event.
Image

7.
Image

8. Making a lot of photo's while I still can.
Image

9. It was a flight to say a family member farewell but there was also time to celebrate.
Image

10. Forward C cabin.
Image

11. The Kuip.
Image

12. Nice routing mainly at or arround 2000ft.
Image

13.
Image

14. The crew was really friendly and enjoyed their time onboard the aircraft.

15.

16.

17.

18. Also a lot of Dutch news channels were on the flight.
Image

19. We landed firmly on runway 18C and after a short taxi we ended our flight where we started.
Image

20. Special decals.
Image

21. Thanks for this great flight.
Image

22. The iconic number 2 engine.
Image

23.
Image

24. There also was some time to photograph another MD-11 that also left the KLM fleet, the PH-KCB Named Maria Montessori. And also PH-PBA, a DC-3 in KLM colors named Prinsess Amalia.

25.

27. DC-3 and MD-11.

31. And one last look on the PH-KCD from the platform.

32. I also spotted the second flight comming in runway 18R (with backlight).
Image

33. And the last one ending my first and last MD-11 adventure. Really want to thank all the parties involved making this possible for us.
