Airplane Serial Sheet

Post by BirdieBarty »

Dear Scramble members,

I've been a new user on Scramble. I'm trying to understand the movement sections
I would like to understand the serials of the expected airplanes..

For example:

SUI572, BE1900 T-729
Cx271/270 B-KQD
Cz345/346 B-6139

I would like to understand what the serials mean? When I paste them in Google I can't find any info.

If there a sheet where I can download to have this for research ? As a spotter this could become handy.

I hope anyone can help me out with this info.

Kind Regards,

SUI572, BE1900 T-729
SUI572 = callsign of the aircraft, in this case "Swiss Air Force five seven two". Put three letter codes in the top box here to find out the operator and callsign: http://www.airframes.org/airlines/
BE1900 = aircraft type, in this case a Beechcraft 1900
T-729 = aircraft serial number or registration, in this case T-729 is a Swiss Air Force serial number
Cx271/270 B-KQD
CX271/270 = flight number for the aircraft, put the two letter code in the second box on my link above to find out the operator. Putting CX271 in to Google does this: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=CX271 ... 2&ie=UTF-8
B-KQD = aircraft serial number or registration, in this case B=KQD is a Cathay Pacific Boeing 777-300. To check you can put it in to the top box here: http://www.airframes.org/
