That little bit of helicopters at Gilze-Rijen......pffff

Post by KIER »

Hi all.

Currently the US Army is (again) rotating a part of their helicopter fleet from \ to Europe in operation / exercise Atlantic Resolve.

Again the Netherlands is part of the transition for all those helicopters.
Many years ago there was a real war , The Gulf War. During the 1st Gulf War it could be seen that the US Army had a good agility in doing this transport of helicopters.

Back then in 1990 - '91 there were 400+ helicopters transported all via airbase Valkenburg within one month.

Read the complete story of the withdrawal after that war at https://www.valkenburgspotters.nl/verha ... rtfarewell

Enjoy
