I also saw the R-502 all day long, but in the morning I saw another one (at the same time) on the eastern site of the airbase crossing the centerline.

Prior my trip to Hungary I had contact with a Police pilot stationed at Budapest-Ferihegy for a visit. So I asked him about this second helicopter. He told me it was R-501. This one only came once in the neighborhood of Kecskemét.

Thanks for the other updates!

Best regards Rob.

SUNDAY 4th

Can anyone help with the serial of the Austrian PC-6 that landed at about 1035hrs and departed an hour later please?

Also, did two Yak-52s flypast on Sunday? We saw two being prepared earlier that morning at Szolnok, but weren't able to read the serials.

The PC-6 was 3G-EH and there were no Yak-52's on Sunday

Can someone help me with the ID's of the stored MiGs? There're 6 that I couldn't identify.

I'm sure how to read your text, but from the spotters' hill you could easily see MiG-29UB 27 and 28. Plus many of the others you already have.

Hi all,

Next to the yellow (press) hangar three MiG-21's were stored under camo nets.
One of them was a silver MiG-21 with fake serial 1978. Does anyone have its real serial??

In 2003 I saw a MiG-21F13 on base, as seen on the picture below. This is 909, but this one has white lines around the serial numbers.
The one stored didn't have these white lines.

Is this the same aircraft?

Regards Rob.

Whilst we're on the subject of F13s, there was another (seemingly unmarked) example at the western end, perhaps north of the 12 threshold. When viewed from o/s the based, it looked to resting on it's nose.

Any offers on this one, please?

The one you mention is 915, indeed resting on it's nose....
