Pt Mugu Air Show Mar 18-19 2023

Post by SBGrad »

Just announced yesterday, Blue Angels AND Thunderbirds.

Official page: https://www.pointmuguairshow.com/

Pt Mugu usually has decent statics, an ATAC Kfir and or Hunter flying. Too bad the MQ-25s haven't arrived yet.

STATICS

The ATAC F-21 Kfir
The ATAC Mk-58 Hawker Hunter
The US Army Recruitings H-60 Blackhawk
The MQ8 Fire Scout
VX-31's F/A 18F
VX-31's EA-18G
VX-31's H-60
The ACCLOGWING's E-2D
The US Coast Guard H-60

Cut and pasted from official page.

VX-31 flew a Block III Super Hornet at Grey Flag last fall, with any luck they'll bring that one.

Not listed but the dream static would be VX-9's Black Bunny homage*, it would be a fitting bird to display at the 75th anniversary of the base.

*166673 has been painted similar to the famous F-4 and F-14 Black Bunny scheme, with a white vampire bat replacing the Playboy Bunny. Until being repainted, 166673 had been wearing a retro CoNA scheme since 2011.
