Just read over at Flugzeugforum, the next edition of the show at Zeltweg will be at 4 and 5 September 2015.

According to Austrian newspapers today, the Zeltweg show may not take place due to budget cuts planned for the defense forces. On the other hand (and as a personal note), there is still more than one year to go where alternative financial resources may be found and where a lot can change.

Quite common, TBH. Such announcements have come up for every Airpower, at least since the Drakens retired.

Gegen die Absage der Airpower 2015

Wir wollen mit allen Mitteln die Absage der Airpower 2015 rückgängig machen. Da es ein finanzielles Problem ist wäre dieses mit genügend Sponsoren lösbar!

Nice initiative, but I think they need cash harder than likes...

Absolutely true. Nevertheless, with a lot of public support, it may become more interesting for sponsors to "save the day". Maybe an idea for a marketing action to purchase more energy drinks of a certain famous Austrian company...

Which, of course has already pumped a lot of money into Airpower over the years.

Anyway, also according to their official website: http://www.airpower.gv.at/ the show is cancelled. So unless new information will be received, I suppose that this event can be removed from the Scramble Airshows Overview.
