Slightly off-topic; Noted this aircraft on my way to work this morning and while checking if it was a new sighting or not I already new it wasn't. N71PG sounded familiar but with US registrations you never know. Indeed I saw it before... on 21 July 1997... Upon checking the history of this aircraft I discovered it was built in the same year I was built, 1975, "gosh that's a 46 year old aircraft" immediatly followed by the realization that I am also 46 years old

This bizjet was one of only 63 Learjet 36 built which was a derivative of the more popular Learjet 35. Both look the same from the outside but the 36 has a bigger fuel tank and thus a longer range. In May 1975 the aircraft was delivered as N352WC to Williams Companies, a Tulsa based company with its core business in processing and transporting natural gas. Its current owner, Phoenix Air, obtained the Learjet in October 1992 and registered it as N71PG. It is one of several Learjet 35/36s the Carterville based company owns which uses its Learjet fleet for target towing and ambulance flights amongst others.
