Virgin Australia has officially unveiled a retrojet, sporting the airline's first bright red livery.

The livery is applied to Boeing B737-8 VH-8VI (67039), a brand new aircraft currently being prepared for delivery at Renton (WA).

The occasion for the special livery is that this new MAX will be Virgin Australia's 150th B737 it took delivery of.

Today, the airline is operating a fleet of 99 B737s, that break-down into nine B737-700s, 75 B737-800s, and fifteen B737-8s. Subsidiary Virgin Australia Regional Airlines has a fleet of three Airbus A320s and two Embraer E190-E2s.
