Virgin Australia has released images of its first Embraer E190-E2. The aircraft, currently registered as PR-ELZ (19020185), is scheduled to be delivered on 8 September 2025 and will become VH-E2A.

It's the first of eight E190-E2s Virgin Australia has on order. They will join the fleet of its Perth-based subsidiary Virgin Australia Regional Airlines. There, it will replace the airline's final three Fokker 100s, which are more than 32 years old.

The entry into commercial service is pencilled in for 27 October 2025, with the first route being Perth-Boolgeeda.
