SAS defers A350s

During its quarterly earnings call with investors, SAS announced it has reached an agreement with Airbus to defer the delivery of its final two A350-900s on order to fiscal year 2024. Originally, the two were scheduled to be delivered in 2022 and 2023. The decision was made in order to be able to better adapt to the pace of the post-pandemic recovery.

SAS has so far taken delivery of six A350-900s. The airline also announced it will continue to take delivery of another A321neoLRs as well as new A320neos. Currently, the fleet is made up of six ATR72-600s (operated by XFly), four A319s, eleven A320s, 45 A320neos, eight A321s, one A321neoLR, nine A330-300s, six A350-900s, fourteen B737-700s, twelve B737-800s and fifteen CRJ900s (ten operated by CityJet and five by XFly).
